River Valley Lodge Conferences and Retreats
Situated in a picturesque natural New Zealand setting, River Valley Lodge is positioned on the banks of the untouched Rangitikei River, near Taihape, a very central location for any North Island Business, and especially convenient for business's in the southern North Island. The Lodge with it’s associated activities, offers a unique venue for business seeking an alternative retreat type facility.
Originally a rafting company, as the business has grown, an Adventure Lodge was built on the banks of the river offering over-night accommodation and a relaxing place to enjoy an evening drink and meal after a day rafting . Today, River Valley has Lodge accommodation, a licensed café/restaurant and bar, a golf course, and petanque and volleyball courts. Several short walks have been also developed in the local area.
Facilities are available for smaller groups up to 14 for conference or retreat purposes.
Conference or retreat facilities are available all year round.

To break up your Lodge based sessions consider one of the activities that we have on offer. These can range from a simple game of golf, to a Grade 5 rafting trip, to an interpretive bush walk.
These activities can be structured to get a Team Building benefit from them.

Using the Outdoors Working with a group of people in the outdoors can enhance communication, teamwork, cooperation and productivity. We can organise corporate adventure training and can also offer professional facilitators to focus your team on specific issues, such as management development, productivity, or staff morale.
Taking part in an outdoor adventure, especially one such as our multi day Rangitikei Headwaters Expeditions, can be a great alternative to the more standard executive retreats, teambuilding workshops, business meetings, and incentive travel. Not only that, but these types of programs also provide an experience that is fun, memorable, and quite different from the normal type of meeting environment.

Company Getaways
Sharing in adventure can develop a sense of renewal and team spirit among participants. 1- and 2-day corporate adventure programs can be arranged based from River Valley Lodge. On many of the activities we can provide a videographer or photographer to record your experience together.
Corporate Getaways are about fun, and the team work that can develop from doing adventurous things together.

Customised Corporate Adventures
Rangitikei Headwaters Expeditions can be something just a little out of the ordinary to entertain key clients or reward staff who have given that bit extra.
Rangitikei Headwater Expeditions offer a unique and unforgettable wilderness setting for a corporate adventure. Let us take care for you of the details, including travel arrangements, menu planning and customising the trip details, including number of days and any add ons. This type of experience is especially suitable for members of a management team wanting time out together, or as a reward for a job well done.
Pricing starts at $1995 for four days/three nights on the river, and a nights accommodation in our ensuited rooms either side of the trip. Number of days on the river can be varied, but we feel that four is optimum.

Multi Activity Adventures
Multi Activity Adventures are a sort of half way house between the wilderness experience of a Rangitikei Headwaters Expedition, and the single activity, team building or staff day out focus of a short stay at River Valley.
The program is based from the Lodge, with everybody returning there each evening. Activities include a mixture of rafting, hiking, and horse back riding, with the conclusion generally being a heli rafting trip into the gorge section of the Rangitikei Headwaters. This type of multi activity program is especially suitable where use also needs to be made of the conference and meeting room facilities at the Lodge.
